About Laura
A life lived through music
Laura Targett is a critically-acclaimed musician whose artistry defies category. A powerful performer and composer, she weaves fiddle, voice and story into vivid soundscapes — from festival stages to late-night kitchen jams.
She’s shared stages with legends, recorded with world-renowned musicians, and taught generations of fiddle students. But beyond the accolades, Laura is a human first: mother, artist, juggler of chaos and beauty.
“I write songs in the cracks between dishes and dinner, scribbled on napkins, sung into cracked phones… Music keeps me sane. Music keeps me human.”

— Keith Potger AO, founding member of The Seekers
“A creative force… melodic, engaging, and deeply lived.”
— Toni Childs, Emmy-winning singer-songwriter
“I love your spirit and your unique romantic expression of song and voice!”
